Public consultations

When relevant, the Basis Project responds to public consultations (having first invited comments from refugee community organisations).

Here are some of our recent reponses (all are pdf files):

• Department for Communities and Local Government’s Best Value: new draft statutory guidance (thanks to the Iranian Association, Regional Refugee Forum North East and Northern Refugee Centre for informing this response)
• Public Affairs Select Committee’s ‘Smaller Government Bigger Society’ - definition of the Big Society and associated questions such as the impact of public spending cuts on the Government’s ability to deliver this
• Building a stronger civil society - government consultation about proposed changes to infrastructure support to civil society organisations (thanks to Bolton Solidarity Community Organisation, Ensemble Manchester, Family Restoration Forum, Haringey Somali Community and Cultural Association and the Sudanese Women’s Association for informing this response)
• Department of Culture, Media and Sport consultation on the National Lottery Distribution Fund.
