Laura Williams, Community and Voluntary Sector Forum in Brighton and Hove
We are a networking and representation organisation; organisations from the voluntary and community sector in Brighton & Hove can take place in one of eight networks that we have: environment, housing, small community groups, equalities, health and well-being, enterprise and learning, children and young people and arts and culture.
Through those interest groups they elect representative to try and influence local authorities and other public bodies.
We have some resources to help us. We have ‘Dialogue’, an e-newsletter containing news, information and best practice. We have an events calendar. We have our website (www.cvsectorforum.org.uk) and also regular mailings and a directory of voluntary and community sector organisations in the city.
